2012 – End of World :- Review

We watched this movie this weekend, after dining at KFC, Gurgaon. The movie is gud but not upto the expectations. Special effects are very impressive. Can still remember the scene of volcano eruption and ocean water following into the land..destroying anything and everything coming in its way..great job done with special effects. But the story is too dragging, felt little bit boring. We can predict the next scene so no surprising. Overall it’s a once to watch movie on big screens especially and not on home DVD’s.
For this movie, i have read many reviews over the google. Many of them are saying that it is true that the world will end on 21-12-2012, showing all the related logics and theories for the same. But donot believe any of them, there is a very long way to go...............Just live your life and enjoy very bit of it......

Home come The Heroes

Through Monday morning and afternoon, the road from Mumbai’s sahar airport to Wankhede stadium at Marine Drive was bursting at the seams with Mumbaikars of every stripe. Students, officer-goers and cameraman gathered to get the best view of Dhoni and his team. Youngster waved the tricolour, kids sang the slogan ‘ Check De India’ and thousands of cell phones went up to click the most unforgettable memories of cricket history. The road was of 30 km only but it took six hrs to reach the stadium, so we can imagine how the crowd was. There was no cricket at the Wankhede Stadium, yet the area was full of crowd. The stadium began reverberating by the slogan ‘Check De India’. The Yash Raj’s film has really created history and the song has been echoing in everyone’s heart.
MS Dhoni managed a young team and a team that looked up to his captain. Led by a cool captain who urged boys to just enjoy the game and not to think about the result.
Players went out and had a blast and finally got hold of the T20 World Cup.
And the most interesting thing is that sensex scores hits high, U can call it as Dhoni- Yuvraj Effect. Just a week ago, India saw thrilling to six appeals. Even as yuvraj hit six sixes in an over, the BSE sensex soared over 600 pts to cross 16k. But surprisingly on Wednesday morning as Team India prepared to hit the roads of Mumbai, the bulls had already started partying. By this we can say how high is the cricket fever among our people.
Hope this new young team bring more proud to our nation and let us wish them all the best for the Future Cup……………………………

Vinayak Chaturthi Festival Hyderabad

Vinayak Chaturthi is celebrated with a lot dedication and devotion throughout the country and especially our Andhra Pradesh and in Hyderabad. Vinayak Chaturthi is celebrated as the day the Lord Vinayaka was born. It is customary or tradition to put up an enormous statue of the elephant-headed Lord Ganesh which is 42 feet high at the Khairatabad centre in Hyderabad. This idol stands as the greatest attraction for the people of Hyderabad and different places, as they stand hours together in long queues to have the darshan of the tallest Lord Ganesha idol. This Vinayak Chaturthi Festival lasts for eleven days and on the last day of the festival, the idols are immersed in the Hussain Sagar Lake.

Lord Ganesha the elephant headed son of Lord Shiva Parvati is believed to the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. During this festival period, we can hear the slogans of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya' and 'Ganesh Maharaj ki jai' all over the air. Thousands of idols of the elephant-headed Lord Ganesh in different avatars, sizes and shapes will be installed in the twin cities and in other states of Andhra Pradesh. Lord Ganesha remains as the favourite GOD for most of the children, as it is believed that Lord Ganesha will shower his blessings on their studies and help them to get through it. It is also believed that he can remove all the obstacles to success and helps preventing natural calamities. Hence, the twin cities and other states of Andhra Pradesh are all set with tight securities and policemen to start the Vinayaka Chaturthi Celebrations commencing this Saturday.

Lets us all pray that Lord Vinayak should shower his blessing on one and all. Let us pray that our Hyderabad should be free from any terror attack from anywhere and that people should live in a peaceful and fearless Hyderabad. Pray that there should be no natural calamities and no hunger died. Lets us pray to Lord Vinayaka to make our state as prosperous as always.

Lords of England- Team India:

After the World Cup defeat, Team India achieves the most awaiting series win against England. India But the only jarring point perhaps would be that the score line read 1-0 instead of 2-0. At some point of time, there were chances of Englishman getting hold of the series by 1-1, but than India getting lucky at Lords because of rain. The 1986 victory was the India’s second series win in England by 2-0, which many of them expected would happen again in 2007. But this series will be very special for the team India after the World Cup loss. had won the series by 1-0 after 21 long years.

Anil Kumble was named Man of the Match, largely for his maiden Test ton, while James Anderson (England) and Zaheer Khan (India) were adjudged Man of the Series of either sides.Despite an inexplicable decision by Rahul Dravid not to enforce follow-on and then a collapse of the Indian top order, England was finally set a target of 500 runs in the third and final Test at the Oval. On the final day, England had chased 500 runs and denied India a 2-0 win in the series. But, the Indians still managed to script a seven-wicket win.

And now in words from Rahul Dravid about the series win and his boys “It makes me feel proud to be captain of this team. Everyone has really contributed to the victory. It’s a fitting tribute after so many years to go home with a victory. It’s what we came here for and we deserve it. Hats off to the boys, they had a great series."

If u are either a cricket fan or not, but still u can always post ur comments for team India on this bolg….

Anil Kumble celebrates his first Test century:

On the day when runs flowed like beer at the Oval and fifties came out just like that and everyone, the icing on the cake n champagne was astonishingly none other than Anil Kumble. But this time he didn’t do it with his amazing balling tactics, but with his Bat. With his not out 110 runs (16*4; 1*6), he had helped India scale their ever highest score total against England in tests series: a mammoth 664. Coming at No:8, just after Dhoni’s thrilling knock out.
At the beginning, match was full of tension, even thought India resumed the game at 316 for four, as the ball was still new. Lakman promptly opened up his repertoire, and timing his shots to perfection. Tendulker was as determined as ever. Meanwhile MS dhoni also made a record for himself as the first Indian wicketkeeper to score 92 in England.
At the end of the day, India played 664 and England was 24/1, with Alaistair Cook and James Anderson on field.
